Professionally applied peel solutions exfoliate dead skin cells and help healthy skin cells rise to the surface. These treatments allow deeper layers of fresh and untouched skin to be revealed. The result of monthly treatments can even skin tone, clear acne, improve the appearance of aging skin and make dull complexions glow.

PCA (short for Physicians Care Alliance) was among the first to take a Jessner’s peel—a combination of lactic acid, salicylic acid, and an antiseptic exfoliant called resorcinol that dissolves dead skin cells and addresses acne and skin discoloration—and enhance it with other ingredients

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin, and scars — usually on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures. And they can be done at different depths, from light to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more dramatic results but also take longer to recover from.

Before Peel: Use a physical sunscreen with at least an SPF 30+ every day rain or shine for at least three weeks prior to the chemical peel. STOP the use of any benzoyl peroxide product (Purity Gel Spot TX, Acne Lotion, Retinol, etc.) or any other product that can cause dryness, redness or irritation three days prior to the chemical peel.

When Peeling and After: Peeling will generally start 48-72 hours after your treatment and can last 2-5 days. It is very important not to pick off peeling skin; peeling is minimal and easily controlled with moisturizer. Premature peeling of the skin will result in dry, cracked, raw skin that may develop into hyperpigmentation.
